Yes! Kids’ facial skin deserves the same care as the rest of their body for basic hygiene, but keep it simple: cleansing, hydration, and protection. They don’t need fancy brightening or anti-aging ingredients, but developing skin does need protection against dryness, UV rays, and the natural changes that come with growing up (like excess oil!). A simple routine with a gentle cleanser, lightweight moisturizer, and daily SPF is all it takes.  

It’s not about doing more — it’s about building healthy habits and confidence that last a lifetime. 

Sunscreen is a must-have starting at 6 months. Daily SPF use at an early age is important to prevent UVA/UVB damage and can improve long-term health outcomes. Beyond sunscreen, kids can add a gentle cleanser and moisturizer whenever they are comfortable. Starting skincare at a young age builds healthy habits and confidence that lasts a lifetime!

Our kids skincare and haircare are formulated for ages 3 and up. Prior to age 3, we recommend our baby collection which is more suitable for ages 0-2. All Evereden sunscreens are suitable for ages 6 months and older.  

Sometimes, but it’s safer and simpler to stick with products made for kids. Developing skin is thinner, more sensitive, and hasn’t been exposed to as many chemicals or ingredients found in adult skincare. Adult products often include brightening, anti-aging, or other active ingredients that aren’t meant for kids, even if the formulas are “clean.” Adult brands often do not test on kids, so safety and efficacy is not guaranteed. Products made for young skin are best, and if you’re unsure of a product, talk to your dermatologist!

Non-toxic, suitable for sensitive skin, dermatologist-tested (by our Moms in Medicine™), and effective. Our standards? They’re high. We formulate without 2,000+ nasty ingredients including sulfates, parabens, phtalates, petrolatum, and animal products—that's ~300 more banned ingredients than the EU! 

At minimum, kids should use sunscreen every day to shield skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays, and a gentle cleanser to wash away SPF at the end of the day. Beyond that, a simple 3-step routine is all kids need: gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. (Pro tip: use a 2-in-1 SPF + moisturizer combo to save time!). Around age 11-12 when puberty starts, tweens can level up to cleansing and moisturizing twice a day and incorporate gentle actives that target oiliness and blemishes, depending on their skin type and needs. Healthy habits + consistency = confident, happy skin that lasts a lifetime. 

Some of our products are formulated with synthetic or artificial fragrances to ensure the best customer experience possible. The synthetic fragrances we do use are certified paraben-free, phthalate-free, and vegan, and the products with these fragrances are tested extensively to ensure they are effective and suitable for sensitive skin. We sometimes prefer synthetic fragrances because they have:  

1. Lower Allergy Risk – Many natural fragrances contain compounds that can trigger allergic reactions or sensitivities in children.
2. Fewer Impurities & Contaminants - Natural essential oils used in fragrances can contain trace amounts of natural toxins like allergens and more. Lab-created fragrances are purified and controlled for safety. 

Kids should use sunscreen every day, even on cloudy and rainy days! Skin is under daily attack from UVA/UVB, pollution, blue light, dust and more and requires adequate protection.
